From the beach at Grand Wailea. We did some snorkeling off that point, and came pretty close to some really big sea turtles.
There was a little bit of mist coming down and blowing toward the beach, at almost the same angle as the rays of light.

I couldn't stand far enough out to get the roof out of the view, and I was in a little bit of a hurry as the sun went down. Cropped it just a bit, and I kind of like the way it turned out.
These were some surfers we saw while at a beach park on Kuai. Had the 70-300 lens on all the way out, and I could hardly make them out in the viewfinder.
Right now I'm just using the flash that's on top of the camera - I've asked for the 400 for my birthday, so we'll see. If I could bounce off the ceiling, that would probably eliminate the red-eye, but I liked the timing of this moment.

These are our Chin Pins, about five months old. They're a cross between Miniature Pinschers and Japanese Chin. They get to about ten pounds.
